NPRecycle

Privacy policy

Effective October 6, 2026

This policy explains what information NPDesigned LLC ("we", "us") handles in connection with NPRecycle, an app for Jira Cloud distributed through the Atlassian Marketplace, and this website.

Summary

1. Information NPRecycle processes in your Jira site

To restore deleted work items, NPRecycle keeps a copy of your work items as they change. It stores this data in Atlassian Forge-hosted storage belonging to your Jira site. It runs on Atlassian's infrastructure and sends nothing to servers we operate.

Data Purpose Kept for
Work item fields, links and attachment details Restore deleted work items While the work item exists; after deletion, the retention period your administrator sets (7–180 days)
Comments and worklogs, with the author's account id and date Restore them with the work item Same as their work item
Copies of attachment files Restore files with the work item Within the storage budget your administrator sets; removed with their work item
Activity log: event type, work item id or key, account id of the person who acted, time Show who deleted what; troubleshooting The retention period
Restore reports, with the account id of the administrator who ran each restore Show restore results The retention period

Personal information in this data. NPRecycle stores Atlassian account ids. It removes names, email addresses and time zones from user records before storing them, and looks display names up from Jira only when it needs to show one. Work item content, such as descriptions, comments and attachments, may contain personal information that your team wrote. NPRecycle keeps that content only to be able to restore it.

Who controls this data. Your organization controls the data in its Jira site, including the data NPRecycle stores. For this data we act as a processor on your organization's behalf, as described in our data processing addendum. Atlassian hosts it as part of the Forge platform. If you're a user of a Jira site and want to exercise rights over this data, contact your site's administrators.

When NPRecycle is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes the app's stored data according to its data retention policy for Forge-hosted storage.

2. Information we receive

From Atlassian. When an organization installs or buys NPRecycle, Atlassian shares licensing information with us through the Atlassian Marketplace. This includes the organization and site, the license tier and status, and the names and email addresses of technical and billing contacts. We use it to manage licenses, provide support and send important notices about NPRecycle.

App logs. Atlassian may make NPRecycle's operational logs available to us, subject to Atlassian's controls. These logs are designed to contain technical identifiers, such as work item ids and keys and account ids, and error messages, not work item content. We use them only to keep NPRecycle working and to investigate problems. They're kept according to Atlassian's log retention.

Support requests. When you email us, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you include in your message and attachments. We use this to answer you and to improve NPRecycle.

This website. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect it. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking.

3. How we use information, and our legal bases

We use the information above to provide and support NPRecycle, manage licenses and billing, keep NPRecycle and this site secure, communicate with you about NPRecycle, and meet our legal obligations.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (providing NPRecycle and support), our legitimate interests (securing and improving NPRecycle, and communicating with customers about it), and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Sharing

We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. We share it only:

5. International transfers

Data that NPRecycle stores in your Jira site stays in Atlassian-hosted storage and follows Atlassian's data residency arrangements for Forge apps. Licensing information and support correspondence may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where the law requires it, we protect these transfers with appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Retention

We keep licensing information while your organization uses NPRecycle, and afterwards as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes. We keep support correspondence as long as needed to help you, and to keep a record of issues for up to three years. Data in your Jira site follows the periods in section 1.

7. Security

See Security for how NPRecycle protects data.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict how it's used, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights over information we hold, such as licensing contacts and support correspondence, email privacy@npdesigned.com. For data that NPRecycle stores in your organization's Jira site, contact your site's administrators, who control it; we'll help them respond.

We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents. We don't sell or share personal information as the CCPA defines those terms, and we don't use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics.

9. Children

NPRecycle is a business tool. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect children's personal information.
