A recycle bin for Jira Cloud
Deleting a work item in Jira Cloud is permanent. NPRecycle keeps a copy of your work items as they change, so a Jira administrator can restore a deleted one in a few clicks, with its sub-tasks, comments, worklogs, links and attachments.
What comes back
- The whole tree. A deleted parent is restored with its sub-tasks, in its original status.
- Fields. Summary, description, priority, assignee, labels, due dates, fix versions, epic, and custom fields that the project's screens allow.
- Conversation and time. Comments and worklogs, each noting its original author and date.
- Links. Links to other work items, rebuilt in the right direction.
- Attachments. Restored byte for byte, within a storage budget you set.
Before you restore, a preview shows exactly what will come back. Afterwards, a report lists anything that couldn't come back, and why.
Your data stays in Atlassian's cloud
NPRecycle is built on Atlassian Forge. Everything it stores lives in Atlassian-hosted storage for your site, and it sends nothing to outside servers. See Security for the details.
Get started
Install NPRecycle from the Atlassian Marketplace, then open Jira settings → Apps → NPRecycle. The user guide covers the rest, and Support is there if you need help.
